Matices Del Sur is a Vancouver based band committed to promote the authentic
music from the coast of Peru which is strongly rooted in the rich, diverse and festive
creole and Afro-Peruvian music. Five are the members of the band and they are
bringing the Peruvian Music to Vancouver since 2012.

Most of the instruments are acoustic and represent the influence of Spain (guitar)
and Africa (drums) on the creole music of the coast of Peru. The lyrics of the songs
talk about daily life, tradition, history and of course love.
The Afro-Peruvian music transmits passion, rhythm and festivity with the cadence
of its melodies and the unique combination of the Guitar and Cajon
